I personally think that this way of educating people of the cruelty of animals is kind of immature because it’s simply guilt tripping people. I’m all for animal rights, but there’s better ways to educate people and from then on it’s their choice to keep eating meat and dairy or cut it out.
If you pay for mothers to be force-impregnated every year and then have their children killed so you can have some cheese or ice cream, you should feel guilty. It’s disgusting and totally unnecessary. If this was puppies being killed for every ice cream cone, nobody would be calling it ‘immature’, they’d be up in arms.
But simply educating people with facts and without images like this would probably make a lot more people listen? Surely that’s what you want? Things like this make people feel like they’re being attacked, and that doesn’t exactly warm people to being vegan, especially if they thought to be vegan you had to act like this? I’m all for animal rights too, and yeah this is disgusting and you need people to see what’s happening, but not like this…
Showing you a picture of your victim is not attacking you, it’s just showing you who you’re attacking, it’s giving a face and a voice to your unseen and unheard victims. I hope images like this are burned into your memory forever so you will have a constant reminder of the mothers and the babies who’s lives you destroy.
Students at a Queens, New York school have been banned from researching or writing about Malcolm X. The teacher’s decision to disallow student reports on Malcolm X for Black History Month was rationalized with the explanation that the civil rights leader was “violent.”
Parents of the Kew Gardens Hills students were outraged.
“My son came home and said, ‘Guess what dad, the teacher said we can’t write about Malcolm X because he was quote unquote bad,’” Frank Brown said.
While Malcolm X said that African Americans should use “any means necessary” to fight for liberation, he always specified that this only referred to the legitimacy of self-defense, never aggression.
The teacher at the school admits to polemically describing Malcolm X as “bad” and “violent”.
“My son came home with that negative stain on his brain that Malcolm X was a bad, violent man,” Angel Minor said of her child’s experience.
